Like this season’s fashion, the issues facing the city come and go. Where a candidate stands on the issues allows the residents to make a “snap-shot” in time judgment.  But what about the future, when different issues emerge, as they undoubtedly will? Your Commissioner’s intrinsic values and leadership principles will be indicative of the types of decisions he would make during the course of his term. I want to share with you my abiding leadership principles:   

Respect: I will treat each citizen of Wilton Manors and anyone coming before me with dignity and respect. Everyone’s unique perspective and point of view will be given serious consideration. 

Fairness: I will make decisions based on what is best for the entire city as a whole, and never pit one group against another. 

Equality: Celebrate the diversity of our city, insuring that all the residents, no matter their race, religious belief, sexual orientation, or economic status will be treated the same.  

Integrity: Give a voice to the residents while at the same time insuring transparency in government actions. Serve the residents, not the special interests, and certainly not any self interests.  

Honor: Honor and respect the office of City Commissioner, striving to never bring shame, embarrassment, or disgrace to the office or the city.
